COVID-19 updates

Entry to Australia:
From 12:01am on 11 March 2023, people travelling to Australia from China, including Hong Kong and Macau, are not required to show evidence of a negative pre-departure test for COVID-19.

Entry to New Zealand:
Travellers are encouraged to take a RAT if they have COVID-19 symptoms when they arrive in New Zealand by air. If tested positive, they must self-isolate for 7 days and should follow up with a PCR test from a community testing centre or healthcare provider.

All pre-departure and post-arrival quarantine and testing requirements have been removed.

Visa Requirements

All visitors to Hong Kong must have a passport that is valid for at least six months after the planned departure date from Hong Kong. Nationals of about 170 countries and territories may visit Hong Kong without a visa/entry permit for a period ranging from 7 days to 180 days. Australian and New Zealand passport holders can enjoy visa-free entry into Hong Kong for a period of 90 days.
