Hong Kong House opened for public visit
Hong Kong House, home of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney (HKETO) welcomed more than 1,000 visitors during its open day held yesterday (November 6)....
Opening of Hong Kong House was part of Sydney Open 2016 presented by the Sydney Living Museum to provide opportunities for people to access the historical buildings in Sydney. HKETO has been participating in this annual event since 2012.
During the open day, video shows and exhibitions were arranged to enable visitors to know more about Hong Kong as the Asia’s World City while appreciating the characteristics of Hong Kong House. For more photos, please visit here.








2016 Chinese Writing Competition and Prize Presentation Ceremony
More than 30 winners of the Chinese Writing Competition 2016 were commended at the prize presentation ceremony held at Hong Kong House yesterday (October 6) in recognition of their outstanding achievements in Chinese learning....
The Deputy Director of Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney (HKETO), Mr Bernard Lo, and the Chairman of the National Chinese Language Education Council of NSW Inc. (Council), Dr Zheng Xuefeng officiated at the ceremony. More than 70 people comprising Council members, student participants and their parents as well as their teachers attended the ceremony.
Chinese Writing Competition 2016 was co-organised by the HKETO and the Council on September 3, and attracted more than 150 students to take part. For more event photos, please visit here.







HKETO Career Cocktail Reception 2016
Over 90 Hong Kong students from University of Sydney, University of New south Wales, Macquarie University and University of Technology, Sydney attended the career seminar at Hong Kong House on 16 September....The event was co-organised by HKETO and the four Hong Kong Student Associations in Sydney. Speakers included Mr William Judge, Innovation Manager, Sydney Innovation Lab, Commonwealth Bank of Australia; Mr Bernard Lo, Deputy Director, HKETO; and Ms Jessica Leung who joined the Hong Kong Government's Administrative Service Winter Internship Pilot Programme in 2015.
