Hong Kong House, home of the Hong Kong Economic and Trade Office, Sydney, opened for public visit on November 4 as part of Sydney Living Museum's Sydney Open 2018 and attracted over 700 visitors.... The annual event provides great opportunities for visitors to appreciate historical buildings and urban landscapes in Sydney. Built in 1891, Hong Kong House is a heritage-listed building that was converted from a hotel with a banking chamber to office and retail use in the late 1980s. Complementing adjacent Victorian buildings, Hong Kong House’s ornate Victorian appearance with a decorative stone façade makes it a landmark in Sydney’s central business district.
